Story[]

Return of the Alchemist[]

Minami Shindou Old Maid

Nagisa and Sakura play the Pocky Game during their middle school field trip, narrowly avoiding a kiss. Cindy teases Yukina about her consistent wins in card games, suspecting her of cheating. Yukina denies using any magic and relies on her intuition to win. Cindy then brings up Kojou, mentioning his recent changes and implying Yukina's influence. This piques Yukina's curiosity about Kojou's past behavior. As the group discusses their schedule and hopes of seeing dolphins with Kanon, they witness something unusual in the water.

Er, no, really, it's not like that. I mean, he doesn't just have you, he has Aiba, too. There's no place for me in all that.

Cindy to Yukina, Volume 6, Chapter 4

Later, Nagisa, Cindy, and Sakura gather at the ship's hallway entrance, where they learn the meeting place has been changed. They speculate about the reason, considering possibilities like a fire or hitting an iceberg, though they dismiss them as unlikely. Despite the confusion, Nagisa decides to wait for Yukina while the others take attendance.

The Tyrant and the Fool[]

Kojou narrowly avoids a collision with a bicycle ridden by Minami. Recognizing her as his former basketball club junior, Kojou brushes off her concern about his injuries. Minami explains that she's delivering clothes to her father, who works in quarantine inspection and is heading to investigate a vampirism disease victim on Itogami Island. Despite Kojou's genuine concern for Minami's family, his mind is consumed with thoughts of sneaking aboard the quarantine ship to reach Old Southeast. As Kojou rushes off, Minami hesitates to speak but ultimately bids him farewell with a formal bow, leaving her thoughts unspoken.

Minami:

Ah... Akatsuki...!

Kojou:

Mm?

Minami:

(Shindou called Kojou to a halt, her lips quivering as if she wanted to say something. In the end, she said nothing and merely lowered her head in a formal bow.)

Minami:

No, it's nothing. Ah... See you at school.

Kaleid Blood[]

In physical education class, Cindy observes Yukina's impressive athleticism during a volleyball match. Despite Yukina's modest demeanor, Cindy recognizes her talent and playfully teases her about her spaced-out appearance. As they chat about Nagisa's past hospitalization and current involvement in sports, Cindy witnesses Yukina's quick reflexes as she saves a student from a collision on the court. However, the mood shifts abruptly when Nagisa suddenly collapses, leaving Cindy concerned and bewildered by the unexpected turn of events.

The Roses of Tartarus[]

Minami Yukina Sakura 2

Yukina, Cindy, Sakura, and Nagisa sit together in the student cafeteria. Despite the bustling lunch hour, the terrace has empty seats, likely due to recent ship incidents and canceled flights. Cindy expresses concern about Nagisa's unusual behavior. Sakura asks about their activities during winter break, leading Yukina to reveal they visited Nagisa's injured family members. Cindy speculates that Nagisa might be upset over this, but Yukina doubts it. They notice Kojou and Asagi getting along, which causes Nagisa to suddenly burst into tears. Confused by Nagisa's reaction, the girls try to console her. Nagisa leaves early, and Cindy decides not to follow, believing it's best to leave her alone for now. Yukina starts to rise, but Cindy and Sakura stop her, suggesting that her intervention might make things worse. They promise to handle it and ask Yukina to return their trays as they leave the cafeteria.

Ah, Akatsuki. And he's with Asagi Aiba...getting along nicely, same as usual. Well, they do suit each other...

Cindy spoke with envy, Volume 13, Chapter 1

The Broken Holy Spear[]

Yukina gets caught up in her thoughts while everyone else changes quickly for lunch break. Nagisa assumes she is concerned about her body image. Minami and Sakura join the conversation, discussing rumors about Kojou's tastes and Yukina's appearance. Yukina tries to deny any concerns but eventually relents. Minami and the rest leave Yukina in the changing room as they head to the cafeteria.

The Twelve Blood Servants[]

Minami notices Yukina and Kojou holding hands, prompting Yukina to quickly pull away. Concerned about Yukina's injuries, Minami approaches her with worry, suspecting Kojou may have been involved. As they discuss, Minami and Sakura speculate about Kojou's supposed ex-girlfriend and the cause of Yukina's injuries. They tease Kojou and Yukina about their relationship, leading to misunderstandings. Minami also observes a change in Kojou's aura, noting that he seems to have reverted to his basketball days. Shortly after, Yuiri arrives and bursts into tears as she apologizes to Yukina, causing confusion among the group. Minami and Sakura observe the scene, assuming Yuiri is Kojou's ex and questioning Yukina about their relationship.
